I
am a 'non-objective' painter. My paintings do not contain subjects
or objects and I do not try to capture mirror images of matter. My
subject is the painting itself and there are no intended hidden images
or meanings within the painting.
However, if you seek you may find, but I would like you to enter the world I have created within each unique image. Relax and let your eyes leisurely wander over the surface and take in the colours, shapes, textures, movement and ambience of the painting and let your interpretation be unique.
The styles of my paintings are varied, ranging from subtle tones to bright and dramatic. My mood at the time of creation dictates, but the love of colour, movement, texture and shape will always be represented in everything I paint.
I love the process of creating my artwork, from conception to birth. I never gave much thought to where my inspiration came from until recently, but when travelling through life one's senses are alert and everything experienced finds storage in one's unconscious mind, an ever-ready library from which to take inspiration. With this knowledge my senses are heightened, my eyes are wide open and I am fascinated with everything I see, as my library is where all my paintings are conceived.
